What can Shirley draw for you?

You can decide what's in the illustration. It can be a special memory, an upcoming event, a private joke, a birthday or anniversary, a religious ceremony; anything you can think of. It can be used as a unique greeting card, invitation, or just for someone to hang on their wall.

If you want something truly unique: a caricature of someone special for a one-of-a-kind birthday gift, or an image representing a fun event in your life, just describe it to Shirley and she'll capture it for you in ways that a photograph never could.

If you don't have anything specific in mind, just let Shirley come up with some unique ideas for you.

How do I get an Illustration?

Simply tell Shirley via e-mail or telephone what you would image you would like, and for what occasion. Shirley will then discuss it with you to make sure she knows exactly what you need.

For example, maybe there's a funny event that only you and your loved one share, and you want it captured in an illustration. Describe the event to Shirley, and send her any reference material she may need such as photographs of the people or places involved.

Shirley will then produce black and white roughs for you to approve and send low-resolution copies to you via email. When you are happy with the rough, Shirley will then produce the final image and paint it. She will then email you a low-resolution copy of the final image for you to approve before posting the original artwork. Additionally you may request a complementary high-resolution image to be burnt onto cd to accompany the original artwork.

What do you get when you order an Illustration?

A hand drawn and painted Illustration approximately A4 size (with larger sizes available on request) on high-quality watercolour paper with the following options:

Standard print(s) of your custom Illustration - Approximately A4 size (21 cm x 29.7 cm).

Small postcard print(s) of your custom illustration - Approximately A5 size (14.8 cm x 21 cm).

Greeting Cards with your custom Illustration - Approximately A5 size folded (14.8 cm x 21 cm) with envelopes.

CD-ROM containing your custom Illustration in TIFF format.

Optional framing of your original custom Illustration.

What materials are used?

Professional grade watercolours and inks over high quality watercolour paper.

How long does it take?

Depending on the content of the image the initial roughs will be completed and emailed within 5 working days, and another 5 days for producing the colour final. The original image (plus any optional extras you have ordered) will usually be mailed as soon as the low-resolution copy has been approved by you.

How much does the work cost?

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling and are fully inclusive of postage and packing for UK deliveries.
